Overview

Rather than eliminating notes altogether, DyKnow Vision allows students to concentrate their note-taking on solving problems, clarifying concepts, and interacting with peers.

Teacher content is transmitted on the fly to student workstations for immediate annotation. The teacher can collect student panels, ask multiple choice questions, or even empower students to lead class from their own seats. After class, users can access personalized DyKnow Vision notebooks on a server from any Internet-connected computer to replay entire sessions.

When combined with effective teaching practices, DyKnow Vision's note-delivery technology transforms students into active learners who can concentrate on concepts while annotating notes and solving problems. Teachers are free to integrate Ink, text, images, PowerPoint, and even Web content into DyKnow Vision. By embedding a Web browser, the teacher can progressively share Web content with students. With one click, the content is available for annotation. Teachers can also gauge comprehension by polling students anonymously. For deeper understanding, teachers can collect and replay a student's answer, gaining insight into the problem-solving process.

The DyKnow client software is a free download that works on any PC with 128 MB RAM running Windows 2000 and above. Users may use the client to import content, create, and save files, but note-delivery, interactive tools, and remote file access requires the complimentary DyKnow Vision server software and an Internet connection. Server requirements may be viewed at http://www.dyknow.com/products/vision/vision_specs.htm. However, since DyKnow Vision works over the Internet, a short demonstration of the fully-functional product may be arranged by contacting DyKnow.
